Dry ice should always be handled with care and used in accordance to the material safety data sheet recommendations.

One must always take proper safety precautions when handling, storing or transporting dry ice and always keep it out of reach of children.

EXTREMELY COLD

• The temperature of dry ice is -109.3 °F (-78.5 °C)

• Severe cold burns will occur within seconds of direct contact

• Avoid contact with skin and eyes!

• Do not eat or taste dry ice

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

DO NOT SEAL IN GLASS OR OTHER TIGHTLY CLOSED CONTAINERS

• This could result in bursting or exploding from overpressurization.

ASPHYXIANT

• Liberates CO2 vapor that is heavier than air.

• CO2 vapor tends to migrate to lower elevations and to accumulate in confined areas. C02

vapors must be removed at the floor level of rooms or other enclosures to prevent

dangerous accumulations.

• Do not enter areas where dry ice is used or stored until properly ventilated.

USE OF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

• Heavy gloves, safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and protective clothing should be

used when handling dry ice.

CARRIERS MUST BE NOTIFIED

If you are shipping dry ice products, you must notify the carrier and affix a warning label(s)

before shipping.
